I hope everyone is taking a moment to reflect on their 2014. I know I've accomplished a lot this year, and I am very proud of myself. Everything from starting up our business, finishing so many comics, working in television, writing major proposals, attending the Montreal Comic Con twice... it's hard to say I did nothing. Oh yeah, I forgot - I learned a new language. Well, almost - still working on that one.

What do you aim for next year? Aside from all the typical things we wish for (ie. lose Christmas fat), I am aiming to make twice as much doing my creative work and pushing closer towards having a full-time creative career. This is ultimately my dream. I also have to get a hip replacement, so getting back in shape is going to be on the list. I'll be looking for new projects for the new year - preferably desk work like illustration, comics, video editing, colour grading, even editing your writing. It doesn't mean we can't do shooting, but it's probably going to be done by my partner or a hired crew. Here's a new comic I just finished. As we finish up on a very materialistic holiday (hey, I'm not pretending I don't like presents), we have to consider how some came to be.

I also added some more art that I forgot to post. This is kind of a big deal: it's a recreation of an old painting I did when I started painting. You can say it was my first ever painting with acrylics. Merch for this painting.

I also added something into the explicit section, but I'll leave you to find that. I made an official album for Comics. I'm going to be adding my originals of the comics to my store, as well.

Just a quick heads up that I will be at the Montreal Mini Comic Con this Sunday (December 9th), which is happening in the same place from 11 to 5 pm. I believe entry is $5 and the event is supposed to focus on comics. I will be bringing my comics, prints, and some new printed postcards of my Frying Pan Man comic. I hope to see you there! If you can't be there, please let others know about it.

On the weekend for September 12th, a friend and I went to the Montreal Comic Con with our art merchandise. I've been planning for this for over a year. I had 2 original comics, 4 different prints in varying sizes, a collaborative comic. I didn't set my expectations very high - business-wise, I only really wanted my table fee back in profit. I was really worried I wouldn't sell a single comic, let alone print, but I'm happy to say I sold plenty and lots of people showed interest! I also had a couple commissions, and talked to a few new artists when I had a chance. The unfortunate thing is that it is so busy, it is next to impossible to network and you have to be in customer service mode 100% of the time. Depending on whether or not I am accepted, I plan on going to TCAF next year and having new material.

To learn more about my comics, visit this new page of my site. Comics and prints will be available for sale on my new StoreEnvy. Please note my StoreEnvy is under construction as I speak, and the sole purpose of me creating one is so you can buy prints, comics, and original artwork directly from me. In the coming weeks, my comics, prints, and original art I am interested in selling will slowly be added.

You may have also noticed that my site looks different. I have changed it based on feedback from visitors and after finally repairing some major technical issues, which are repaired thanks to my dad. Likewise, I apologize for previous site errors many probably have experienced.
