“Boulevard Lasalle on a Humid June Day” is an artwork depicting a street corner of the townhouses with French-style spiral staircases commonly seen in Verdun and other parts of Montreal. Off the loud, beaten main roads and squeezed in between the large institutional buildings, a quiet and quaint street hides. I painted this on location, sitting under a tree on a hill overlooking the corner. It was a humid June day, but the weather was perfect when settled into this spot. The original image is 9″x12″ and painted with watercolor and ink on 140lbs watercolor paper.
